Bodegas Chesa

Bodegas Chesa is a small family business located in the Somontano of Basbastro. They own 10 hectares of own vineyard in which they cultivate the varieties Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Garnacha and Gewürztraminer. The vineyards are located at 400 meters of altitude next to the so-called “Yesos de Barbastro”. In Somontano, these lands are called “Chesas”, and they give a very special character to the wines, such as low vigor, low yield, optimum maturation, small grain size and a large proportion of skins, where the Noble substances of the grape, such as sweet tannins, anthocyanins and aromas.

The capacity of Bodegas Chesa is 100,000 bottles of red, white and rosé wine per year. A Somontano wine that has been awarded numerous awards such as the Gold Medal for the Chesa Red Oak.
